Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company (NCWSC) is seeking Ungraded Artisans Mechanical (General) to undertake improvement works, repair works, and maintenance of the company's pumps, generators, and all plant and equipment. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring the efficient functioning of critical machinery necessary for the delivery of water and sewerage services in Nairobi.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Troubleshooting and repair of excavators, heavy automotive vehicles, pumps and motors, generators, boreholes, and other machines.
Execution of maintenance schedules to ensure minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance.
Managing and organizing maintenance workshops.
Facilitating and supporting other technical personnel in handling more complicated mechanical assignments.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: At least a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a minimum mean grade of 'D-' Minus or its equivalent.
Technical Certification: Trade test grade III and above or significant on-the-job experience in general mechanics is an added advantage.
