Zetech University is seeking a qualified and motivated Tutorial Fellow in Mechanical Engineering (ZBTI) to join its academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering lectures, conducting research, developing academic programmes, and mentoring students in mechanical engineering disciplines.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach in areas allocated by the Head of Department.
- Design, develop, plan, and deliver a range of programmes of study, including new courses at various levels.
- Deliver high-quality lectures and practical sessions.
- Review course content and materials on a regular basis, updating them when required.
- Collaborate with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes, and the development of research activities.
- Carry out research and write research grant proposals.
- Seek out and participate in academic and professional consultancies.
- Present research papers at national or international conferences and other similar events.
- Disseminate research outputs through publications and academic forums.
- Provide mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by supervisors.
Qualifications and Experience
- Registered for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering and actively progressing.
- A Master's and Bachelor of Science qualification in Mechanical Engineering specializing in Mechatronics and Automation Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Maintenance and Reliability Engineering, or Materials Engineering from an accredited University.
- At least three (3) years of post-qualification work experience.
- Demonstrated university-level teaching and research experience.
- Registered or registrable with the relevant professional body (where applicable).
