The University of Eldoret is seeking a Tutorial Fellow in Kiswahili Education. This is a contractual academic role designed for individuals who hold a Master’s degree and are currently pursuing or registered for a PhD. The successful candidate will support senior academic staff, engage in research, and provide community service while advancing their own doctoral studies.
Responsibilities and Duties
Serve on contractual terms (three-year renewable contract).
Assist senior academic members of staff in teaching and departmental assignments as allocated by the Head of Department.
Actively undertake and progress through a Doctoral degree (PhD) programme.
Provide professional and community services and initiate linkages between the university and external partners.
Carry out other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and Requirements
Must hold a Master’s degree from a recognized and accredited university in Kiswahili Education or a relevant field.
Must be registered for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
Must be registered with a relevant professional body.
Proficiency in computer applications is required.
Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and academic research.
Terms and Conditions
The position is on a three (3) year renewable contract.
Remuneration will be as per the current University policies and regulations.
