Kenyatta University is a multi-campus public university in Kenya seeking to recruit a qualified individual for the position of Tutorial Fellow in Health Information Management. This is an academic role focused on teaching, research, and contributing to the university's academic excellence in the field of Health Records and Information Management.
Role Purpose
The Tutorial Fellow will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction to undergraduate students, participating in research activities, and supporting the administrative functions of the department while working towards their own professional development in academia.
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality teaching and instruction to students in the area of Health Information Management.
Support the development and delivery of course materials and curricula.
Engage in academic research and scholarly activities, aiming for publication in recognized journals.
Participate in departmental and university-wide activities, meetings, and committees as required.
Provide guidance and mentorship to students to support their academic progress.
Requirements and Qualifications
Master’s Degree: An earned Master’s degree or equivalent in Health Information Management or a related field from an accredited and recognized university.
Bachelor’s Degree: A Bachelor’s Degree in Health Records and Information Management or a related field from an accredited and recognized university.
Academic Publications: Must have at least four equivalent publication points.
Teaching Experience: Evidence of good quality teaching experience is required.
Professional Registration: Must be registered by the Health Records and Information Managers Board.
