P.C.E.A Tumutumu Hospital is seeking a qualified Tutor for Clinical Medicine. Founded in 1909 and governed by the Presbyterian Church of East Africa, the hospital is a 203-bed facility located in the Central Highlands of Kenya. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic and clinical instruction to students in the field of Clinical Medicine and Surgery, ensuring they meet the professional standards required for registration in Kenya.
Responsibilities
Deliver theoretical lectures and conduct practical training sessions for students.
Supervise students during their clinical rotations and attachments within the hospital.
Assess student performance through regular examinations and clinical evaluations.
Provide mentorship and guidance to students preparing for professional practice.
Maintain high educational standards in accordance with the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya guidelines.
Participate in curriculum implementation and review within the training department.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution.
Must be duly registered with the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya.
Must hold a valid practicing license from the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya.
A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a similar clinical or academic environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
A recommendation letter from a religious leader (who will also serve as one of the referees) is mandatory.
