Truck Driver

• Deliver event equipment and materials to designated locations safely and on schedule.
• Check and confirm items before dispatch and upon delivery.
• Handle unforeseen challenges such as traffic delays or vehicle breakdowns.
• Provide transport support for staff when needed.
• Comply with all traffic rules and safety standards.
• Carry out routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance.
• Work closely with the logistics/events team to plan routes and schedules.
• Ensure safe handling of goods to prevent damage during transit.
• Maintain professionalism when interacting with clients and team members.
• Plan efficient routes to save time and fuel.
• Report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Keep accurate records of deliveries and vehicle usage.
• Assist in loading and unloading equipment at various sites.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth handling of inventory.

Job Specifications and Qualifications

• Education: KCSE Certificate; additional education or certification in logistics or a related field is preferred.
• Licensing: Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience driving commercial vehicles, preferably in the logistics sector.
• Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices.
• Additional Assets: NYS training and basic mechanical knowledge are added advantages.
