Our client, a leading telecommunications provider, seeks to recruit a Trade Development Representative (TDR). Reporting to the Area Sales Manager, the role focuses on channel visitations to drive retailer awareness and turnaround on SIMs and Float, while paying close attention to visibility and merchandising at points of purchase for SSOs and T-Kash agents.
Key Responsibilities
SSO & Agent Recruitment & Mapping: Effectively manage the identification and recruitment of Agents, targeting mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores.
Call Rate: Visit SSOs and Agents regularly using agreed route plans (beat plans).
Training & Tools Delivery: Provide all requisite tools for transactions at SSO and agent outlets and train SSOs and T-Kash Agents on business processes.
Compliance Training: Train agents on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and SSOs on Know Your Customer (KYC) processes in relation to SIM registration (SIMREG).
Stock & Float Management: Monitor and effectively enforce the 1.5x stock rule for agents and ensure SSOs have adequate stock of SIMs for new registrations and activations.
Merchandising: Develop and maintain merchandising standards by ensuring the availability of merchandising materials at SSOs and Agent outlets.
Qualifications and Experience
A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
At least 1 year of experience in a sales and distribution role within the FMCG or Telecommunications industry.
