The Trade Development Representative (TDR) is responsible for driving business growth by identifying, recruiting, and managing agents and Sub-Service Outlets (SSOs). The role focuses on expanding the network reach, particularly in mobile money and high-traffic retail areas, while ensuring compliance with AML and KYC standards.
Key Responsibilities
SSO & Agent Recruitment & Mapping: Effectively manage the identification and recruitment of Agents, targeting mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores.
Route Planning: Visit SSOs and Agents regularly using agreed route plans (beat plans) to ensure consistent support.
Training & Tool Delivery: Provide necessary transaction tools to agents and train them on business processes.
AML & KYC Compliance: Conduct AML training for agents and ensure SSOs are well-versed in the KYC process related to SIMREG.
Stock & Float Management: Monitor and effectively enforce the 1.5x stock rule for agents and ensure SSOs maintain adequate SIM card stock for new registrations and activations.
Merchandising: Maintain brand standards by distributing and managing merchandising materials at all outlets.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
At least 1 year experience in a sales and distribution role in an FMCG or Telcos.
Strong focus on customer service.
Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
Networking and building partnerships.
Analytical thinking skills.
