Our client, a leading telecommunications provider, seeks to recruit a Trade Development Representative. This role focuses on channel visitations to drive retailer awareness and turnaround on SIMs and Float while paying attention to visibility and merchandising at the point of purchase for SSOs and T-Kash agents.
Key Responsibilities
Agent Recruitment & Mapping: Effectively manage the identification and recruitment of Agents, targeting mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores.
Field Visits (Call Rate): Visit SSOs and Agents regularly using agreed route plans (beat plans).
Training & Tool Delivery: Provide all requisite tools for transactions at SSO and agent outlets and train SSOs and T-Kash Agents on business processes.
Regulatory Compliance: Train agents on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and SSOs on the Know Your Customer (KYC) process in relation to SIM registration (SIMREG).
Inventory Management: Monitor and effectively enforce the 1.5x stock rule for agents and ensure SSOs have adequate stock of SIMs for new registration and activations.
Merchandising: Develop and maintain merchandising standards by providing merchandising materials at SSOs and Agent outlets.
Requirements
Academic: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a sales and distribution role within FMCG or Telecommunications industries.
Competencies: Customer focus, influencing and negotiation skills, networking and building partnerships, and analytical thinking.
