This role focuses on channel visitations to drive retailer awareness and turnaround on SIMs and Float. The Trade Development Representative is responsible for ensuring visibility and effective merchandising at the point of purchase for Sales Support Officers (SSOs) and agents, maintaining brand dominance and product accessibility within their assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
SSO & Agent Recruitment & Mapping: Effectively manage the identification and recruitment of agents, specifically targeting mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores.
Call Rate Management: Conduct regular visits to SSOs and agents according to agreed beat plans to ensure consistent support and monitoring.
Business Tools Support: Provide necessary tools for transactions at agent outlets and train SSOs and agents on operational processes.
Compliance Training: Train agents on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) protocols and educate SSOs on the Know Your Customer (KYC) processes required for SIM registration (SIMREG).
Stock & Float Management: Monitor and enforce the 1.5x stock rule for agents and ensure SSOs maintain adequate SIM stock for registrations and activations.
Merchandising: Implement and maintain merchandising standards by distributing and installing point-of-sale materials at agent locations.
Requirements and Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a sales and distribution role, preferably within the FMCG or Telecommunications industries.
Strong focus on customer service and satisfaction.
Proven skills in influencing and negotiation.
