We are seeking a high-performing Sales Executive to drive adoption of our Climate-Smart Wireless Sensor Solutions across Kenya's floriculture and horticulture sectors. This role is ideal for a proactive, technically curious, and relationship-driven professional who can translate innovative IoT and sustainability solutions into measurable value for growers.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Identify, qualify, and close sales opportunities within the floriculture and horticulture sectors.
Develop and execute sector-specific sales strategies aligned with revenue targets.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline using structured sales processes and CRM tools.
Conduct product demos, site visits, and solution presentations tailored to client needs.
Prepare proposals, quotations, and commercial offers that clearly articulate ROI and impact.
Client Relationship Management
Establish trusted advisor relationships with farm owners/directors, managers, agronomists, and procurement departments.
Provide pre- and post-sales support to ensure smooth onboarding and high customer satisfaction.
Maintain regular communication with clients to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
Technical Understanding & Advisory
Develop a strong understanding of wireless sensor technologies, dashboards, and analytics.
Gain sector knowledge regarding Agronomy, Floriculture/Horticulture Operations, crop Inputs, and Environmental Management.
Utilize knowledge of precision agriculture technologies.
Collaborate with technical teams to design solutions that meet client requirements.
Translate technical features into clear business value for decision-makers.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Environmental Science or a relevant Engineering field.
3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in Agri-tech, Agricultural Inputs, IoT, or sustainability.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong understanding of Kenya's floriculture and horticulture value chain is an added advantage.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently, travel frequently, and manage multiple accounts.
