Bidco Africa is seeking a Territory Sales Representative for its Food & Snacks division. The primary objective of this role is to implement trade execution strategies that ensure product availability, visibility, and growth in market share within the assigned territory. The representative will manage on-ground sales activities and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the distribution chain.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Execution: Implement sales plans to achieve volume growth and increase market share.
Merchandising: Ensure products are available, well-stocked, and correctly displayed in all retail outlets within the territory.
Secondary Sales: Drive secondary sales plans through teams to enhance product movement from distributors to retailers.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.
Marketing Activities: Implement promotional, sampling, and marketing campaign activities on the ground.
Market Intelligence: Collect and share market and customer feedback.
Reporting: Prepare accurate daily and weekly reports on distribution, sales execution, and market insights.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 7 years' experience in field sales, trade marketing, or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) execution.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of retail merchandising and trade promotion execution.
Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Analytical Ability: Ability to interpret market data and make actionable recommendations.
Attributes: Self-driven, organized, and able to work independently.
Travel: Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
Advantage: Experience in food and snack product categories is a strong advantage.
