We are seeking a dedicated and result-oriented Territory Business Executive for the Wote territory. The successful candidate will create awareness, drive sales, manage regional retail outlets, recruit promoters, and ensure effective portfolio health and inventory management.
Roles & Responsibilities
Direct Sales & Awareness: Create awareness in the designated geography and aid in direct selling for our retail outlets.
Team Recruitment: Recruit and manage quality Solar Energy Promoters (SEPs) as per the given targets.
Client Acquisition: Prospect new customers and constantly expand the business.
Outlet Management: Manage the regional outlet sales agents and ensure sales targets are achieved by pushing stock out to assigned outlets.
Market Analysis: Monitor sales data and keep up to date with current market trends and customer needs including handling queries and complaints.
Stock Availability: Ensure availability of stock in all outlets.
Channel Activation: Focus on activating new channels such as Experience Centers, Phone shops, and Retail Distributors.
Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships between d.light and clients.
Competitor Intelligence: Identify and monitor all competitive activities within the territory.
Route to Market: Implement the d.light Route to Market strategies.
Portfolio Health: Ensure quality customers are onboarded and delinquency is maintained below the specified percentage. Review and assess new customers for quality of payments to ensure overall portfolio health is within defined thresholds.
Risk Management: Evaluate high-risk accounts and analyze customer payment patterns to drive compliance. Take corrective actions to correct customer payment schedules.
Inventory Control: Ensure stock/inventory management is done within laid-down procedures and expectations at every stock location. Supervise the stocking and safety of d.light stock with SEPs.
Collection: Follow up on outstanding payments from customers and ensure timely settlement.
Asset Management: Ensure assigned tools of trade are well maintained and used in accordance with company policies.

Requirements & Desired Skills
Experience: At least 1-3 years of sales experience with a demonstrable and successful sales track record.
Education: A Degree or Higher Diploma in Sales and Marketing, or any business-related field.
Industry Knowledge: Relevant industry background in the renewable energy or solar industry is highly advantageous.
Adaptability: Experience working in a rapid sales growth environment.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
License: A valid Kenyan motorbike riding license is mandatory.
Mindset: Strong mindset for continuous improvement and achieving expectations; complete discretion and confidentiality.
IT Skills: Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
