We are seeking a dynamic Territory Business Executive to cover the Western territory, focusing on driving sales, creating awareness, and expanding our retail networks in the region.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Sales & Awareness: Create brand awareness in the designated geography and aid in direct selling for our retail outlets.
Team Management: Recruit and manage quality Solar Energy Promoters (SEPs) as per the given targets.
Business Expansion: Prospect new customers and constantly expand the business.
Outlet Management: Manage the regional outlet sales agents and ensure sales targets are achieved by pushing stock out to assigned outlets.
Market Intelligence: Monitor sales data and keep up to date with current market trends and customer needs, addressing customer queries and complaints.
Stock Availability: Ensure availability of stock in all outlets and supervise the stocking and safety of d.light stock with SEPs to maintain approved minimum stock levels.
Channel Activation: Focus on activating new channels such as Experience Centers (ECs), Phone shops, and Retail Distributors.
Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships between d.light and clients.
Competitor Monitoring: Identify and monitor all competitive activities within the territory.
Route to Market: Implement the d.light Route to Market strategy.
Portfolio Quality & Risk Management: Ensure quality customers are onboarded and delinquency is maintained below the specified percentage. Review and assess new customers for quality of payments to ensure overall portfolio health. Evaluate high-risk accounts and analyze payment patterns to drive compliance.
Payments: Follow up on outstanding payments from customers and ensure timely settlement.
Asset Maintenance: Ensure the assigned tools of trade (such as motorbikes) are well maintained and used as per laid-down company policies.

Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: At least 1-3 years of sales experience with a demonstrable and successful sales track record. Experience working in a rapid sales growth environment is preferred.
Education: A Degree or Higher Diploma in Sales and Marketing, or any business-related field.
Industry Knowledge: Relevant industry background in the renewable energy or solar industry will be an added advantage.
Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus strong interpersonal and rapport-building capabilities.
License: A valid Kenyan motorbike riding license.
Technical Proficiency: Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Mindset: Strong mindset for continuous improvement, discretion, confidentiality, and a passion for social enterprise and environmental benefits.
