Technician - Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable electrical safety standards and regulations.
• Liaising with relevant authorities, stakeholders, contractors, and service providers on matters concerning electrical power supply.
• Maintaining inventory for all tools, machines, and equipment in the Workshop/Laboratory.
• Preparing preventive maintenance schedules for tools and equipment.
• Ensuring compliance with both statutory and Polytechnic safety protocols regarding the operation of Workshops/Laboratory.
• Supporting the smooth running of the Department Workshop/Laboratory.
• Working hand-in-hand with workshop practice trainers when preparing materials for practical lessons.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and proper operations of the work area, tools, machines, and equipment.
• Coordinating the planning, implementation, and monitoring of electrical power supply projects and activities within the Institution.

Requirements for Appointment

• Craft Certificate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or Electrical Operator level 5.
• High reliability and integrity.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
