Service Intern

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with cutting-edge electric vehicle (EV) technology alongside experienced technicians in a fast-growing, mission-driven company.\n\n### You might like this internship if:\n- You are passionate about sustainable technology and want to shape the future of mobility in Africa.\n- You enjoy understanding how machines work and solving technical challenges.\n- You are eager to gain real-world experience beyond the classroom.\n- You learn quickly, ask questions, and enjoy working with your hands.\n\n### Roles and Responsibilities\nAs a Service Intern, you will work under the guidance of experienced Service Technicians and Engineers to support daily workshop and field service operations.\n\nYour responsibilities will include:\n- Assist with preventive maintenance activities on electric buses.\n- Support routine vehicle inspections and servicing activities.\n- Learn and perform basic mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks under supervision.\n- Assist in cleaning, inspecting, and securing electrical connectors and components.\n- Support coolant level checks, tyre inspections, and general vehicle health checks.\n- Observe and assist during diagnostic and repair activities.\n- Learn safe handling of EV systems and workshop equipment.\n- Support documentation of maintenance activities and service reports.\n- Maintain workshop cleanliness and adhere to 5S standards.\n- Follow all BasiGo safety procedures, especially High Voltage (HV) safety requirements.\n- Participate in continuous learning sessions, toolbox talks, and technical training.\n- Perform any other duties assigned in support of service operations.\n\n### What You'll Learn\nAt BasiGo, you'll do more than complete an internship—you'll help build the future of sustainable transport in Africa.
