Job Description
Role Overview
Mogo Finance is seeking a Technical Support Operator for the Coastal Region (Mombasa) to perform motorcycle inspections, car valuations, GPS tracker and SIM card installations, minor motorcycle repairs, and provide technical support to clients during the loan application process.
Key Responsibilities
Motorcycle Inspections after Repossession: Conduct thorough inspections of repossessed motorcycles to assess condition and document damages or discrepancies. Compile detailed inspection reports and provide repair or maintenance recommendations.
Car Valuations and Inspections: Evaluate the value of cars using industry-standard valuation techniques, considering make, model, year, condition, mileage, and market trends.
GPS Tracker Installation: Install GPS trackers on cars and motorcycles to ensure proper monitoring for the loan duration while adhering to guidelines.
SIM Card Installation: Install SIM cards into GPS devices.
Motorcycle Repairs: Perform minor repairs and maintenance on motorcycles to restore operational condition and work with repair teams to execute prompt quality repairs.
Client Assistance during Loan Application: Provide technical guidance and support to clients during loan application and address technical inquiries.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, valuations, installations, and repairs, generating comprehensive reports for internal and compliance use.
Quality Assurance: Maintain high quality standards and continuously assess processes for improvement.
Customer Relations: Build positive relationships with clients by delivering professional technical support.
Compliance and Safety: Follow company policies, industry regulations, and safety protocols during all tasks.
Inspection and Diagnosis: Assess overall vehicle condition (driving tests, visual checks, warning lights, smoke) and report fraudulent/tampered vehicles.
Requirements & Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of previous relevant experience
Fluency in English and Swahili
Knowledge of the Kenyan car market (model features, vehicle technical structure)
High sense of responsibility, precision, and ability to set priorities
Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, and evenings
Valid BCE category Driver's License
