Role Overview
The Team Leader – Direct Sales Representative for the Central Region at HF Group is responsible for driving regional business growth and leading a team of sales representatives. The primary purpose of this role is to drive the achievement of regional set targets through customer growth and retention across all product lines, including deposits, lending, cards, agent banking, and non-funded income (NFI).
Key Responsibilities
Business Planning and Growth
Drive regional set targets through customer growth and retention across all lines: deposits, lending, cards, agent banking, and NFI.
Lead deposit mobilization efforts and drive cheap deposits to reduce the cost of funds.
Plan, drive, and monitor regional branch sales strategies through segment focus and needs-based selling.
Develop and refine regional sales toolkits, client materials, and training to reflect various target propositions.
Run daily, weekly, and monthly performance reviews with sales staff to ensure the teams are constantly engaged and ahead of targets.
Implement effective HR standards and strategies, manage succession planning, and retain key talent through constant discipline in performance management.
Motivate, coach, and energize branch staff positively to deliver results.
Engage the team in constant training to address needs and implement training roadmaps.
Operational Risk, Controls, and Procedures
Implement processes to prevent mis-selling, misrepresentation, fraud, and ensure adherence to customer data confidentiality principles.
Ensure the team adheres to all KYC guidelines and procedures and complies with local regulatory requirements.
Comply with all applicable money laundering prevention procedures and report suspicious activity.
Track and monitor Turnaround Time (TAT) for the segment and work with stakeholders to ensure targets are met.
People Management and Administration
Manage sales staff through ongoing individual coaching and training to ensure achievement of sales goals and deepen member relationships.
Conduct continuous review and appraisal of sales staff performance and take immediate corrective action.
Cultivate a team culture that enhances mutual support for overall productivity.
Arrange or recommend appropriate training for branch staff.
Ensure discipline and adherence to the staff code of ethics.
Manage planned leave schedules and execution for branch sales staff.
Skills and Competencies
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
General knowledge of banking processes.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to handle inquiries or complaints effectively.
Strong time-management, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Analytical ability with active listening skills and strong attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adapt to changing business needs.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Bachelors’ degree in a Business-related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales management within the Banking Industry.
