We are seeking a Tax Senior to deliver high-quality tax compliance, advisory, and dispute support services to our clients. The role involves preparing and reviewing tax filings, advising on Kenyan tax legislation, supporting KRA audits and disputes, and building strong client relationships, while upholding the firm’s professional and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review tax returns including Corporation Tax, VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax, and Turnover Tax.
Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns through the iTax system.
Monitor tax compliance calendars and statutory deadlines for assigned clients.
Support tax advisory and planning assignments, including transaction and restructuring advice.
Research and interpret Kenyan tax laws and regulatory changes and advise clients accordingly.
Represent and support clients during KRA audits, assessments, objections, and appeals.
Maintain high standards of documentation, ethics, and risk management.
Serve as a key client contact on tax matters and identify opportunities for additional services.
Contribute to proposals, client presentations, and business development initiatives.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or a related field.
Professional qualification in KESRA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
At least 4 years of experience in tax within a professional services firm (Tax, Law, Accounting, or Audit).
Strong knowledge of Kenyan tax laws, regulations, and the iTax system.
Excellent analytical, communication, and client-management skills.
