Nakuru County Government is recruiting for the position of Supply Chain Management Officer II (13 posts). The successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of the supply chain process, ensuring compliance with established regulations and procedures to maintain efficient operations within the county.
Key Responsibilities
Warehousing: Manage and oversee warehouse operations.
Distribution Management: Coordinate the efficient distribution of goods and materials.
Fleet Management: Oversee the management of the county's vehicle fleet.
Disposal of Stores and Equipment: Manage the decommissioning and disposal of obsolete or surplus assets.
Procurement: Execute procurement processes for goods, works, and services.
Market Surveys and Research: Conduct research and surveys to inform procurement and supply decisions.
Inventory and Stock Control: Maintain accurate inventory levels and stock records in accordance with laid-down regulations.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields: Commerce, Business Administration (Supplies Management Option), Economics, Procurement and Supplies Management, Marketing, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
A registration certificate with the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM).
A valid practicing license from the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM).
