Role Overview
Samburu County Government is seeking to recruit qualified and competent individuals for the position of Supply Chain Management Officer I (3 Posts). The successful candidates will be responsible for executing procurement and supply chain management activities within the county government, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Execute the procurement of goods, works, and services in compliance with the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act.
Coordinate warehousing, distribution, and safe custody of stores and assets.
Conduct regular inventory control, stocktaking, and reconciliation exercises.
Assist in the preparation of annual procurement plans and progress reports.
Ensure accurate and secure maintenance of procurement and supply chain records.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Education
A Bachelor's Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Commerce (Supply Chain Option), Business Administration (Supply Chain Option), or an equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
Professional Memberships and Certifications
Registration and membership with a recognized professional body such as the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM).
Must hold a valid Practicing License from KISM.
Experience
A minimum of two (2) years of experience at the level of any procurement-related role.
Additional Requirements
Proficiency in computer applications.
Demonstrate integrity, professional competence, and adherence to public service values.
