As a Sportswear Sales Associate at CDL Human Resource, you will be the face of the brand, responsible for delivering an exceptional shopping experience and driving sales performance. This role is ideal for a high-energy individual with a passion for sports and fitness culture, who can connect with customers and provide expert advice on technical footwear and apparel.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience: Greet every customer with a "Karibu!" and a smile. Identify their needs—whether they’re training for a marathon or looking for lifestyle footwear.
Product Expertise: Stay up-to-date on the latest footwear technology (cushioning, stability, breathability) and apparel trends to provide expert advice.
Sales Targets: Meet and exceed daily and monthly sales KPIs through proactive engagement, upselling, and cross-selling.
Visual Merchandising: Maintain store presentation to high standards. Ensure shoes are laced correctly, sizes are stocked, and the floor remains clutter-free.
Inventory & POS: Assist with stock takes and deliveries. Process transactions accurately using the POS system (handling Cash, M-Pesa, and Card payments).
Brand Ambassadorship: Represent the brand’s values both inside and outside the store environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 1 year of proven retail sales experience in the fashion or sportswear industry is mandatory.
Education: A Diploma in Business or Marketing is considered a plus.
Communication: Fluency in English and Swahili is required. Ability to use Sheng to build rapport with the younger demographic is an added advantage.
Availability: Flexibility to work weekends, late shifts, and public holidays.
Physical Fitness: Must be comfortable being on your feet all day and have high energy levels.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with digital inventory tools and social media platforms.
Personal Attributes: Punctuality, professional grooming, and a genuine passion for sports or fitness culture.
