Stanbic Bank Kenya is looking for a Specialist, Procurement Sourcing to develop and implement category strategies for managing Real Estate, Facilities, Operations, and Branch commodities. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying go-to-market strategies, identifying commodity-specific compliant suppliers, and creating sourcing plans to minimize procurement costs and optimize benefits for the bank. This role involves significant stakeholder engagement, precise reporting, and a strong focus on procurement risk and governance.
Key Responsibilities
Category Strategy: Develop and implement strategies for Real Estate, facilities, Operations, and Branch commodity categories.
Strategic Sourcing: Identify go-to-market strategies and commodity-specific compliant suppliers to optimize procurement costs.
Risk & Governance: Apply knowledge of sustainability, risk, and governance to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and CSR standards.
Stakeholder Management: Engage with various levels of the organization and provide clear, precise communication and reporting.
Negotiation & Contracting: Lead procurement contracting with strong negotiation, alternative sourcing, and cost modeling skills.
Supplier Management: Maintain and improve supplier relationship management practices to drive value.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: A First Degree in Purchasing and Procurement or a related field.
Professional Qualifications: Preferred qualifications include MCIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or CPSP-K (Certified Procurement and Supply Professional of Kenya) equivalent.
Professional Membership: Must be a registered member in good standing with the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM).
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in Procurement Category Strategic Sourcing.
Specialized Knowledge: Proven track record in procurement contracting, negotiation, supplier relationship management, alternative sourcing, and cost modeling.
Compliance: Knowledge of sustainability, risk, and governance to ensure regulatory compliance.
