Job Description
Role Overview
This position is responsible for performing high-quality radiological services using ultrasound technology and providing accurate diagnostic information to assist in patient care. The position holder will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to perform diagnostic procedures, obtain and interpret images, and assist in patient care.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
Interpret ultrasound images and provide accurate diagnostic information to the medical team.
Maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure it is in good working order and calibrated correctly.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using Health Management Information Systems (HMIS).
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
Write detailed and professional diagnostic reports based on ultrasound findings.
Ensure a high standard of patient care and safety during all radiological procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences.
Higher Diploma in Ultrasound and/or Radiology.
At least one (1) year of relevant work experience.
Registered and with a valid license from the Kenya Nuclear Regulatory Authority.
Member of the Society of Radiography in Kenya (SORK).
Strong report writing skills.
Proficiency in computer skills (especially Health Management Information Systems).
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
