Social Media Management Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with the institution's marketing objectives.
• Content Creation: Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across social media platforms, including captions, articles, videos, reels, testimonials, and visual content.
• Platform Management: Manage the institution's presence on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, YouTube, and other relevant platforms.
• Campaign Execution: Design and coordinate promotional campaigns for academic programs, admissions, events, and institutional activities.
• Community Engagement: Respond to inquiries, comments, and messages in a timely and professional manner; build and engage online communities to strengthen brand awareness and student engagement.
• Event Coverage: Coordinate photography and videography for institutional events and activities.
• Lead Generation: Support student recruitment campaigns and generate leads to support enrollment targets through digital marketing initiatives.
• Reputation Management: Monitor online reputation and manage customer feedback.
• Reporting & Analysis: Track social media performance, prepare weekly and monthly reports, and monitor competitor activities and emerging trends within the education sector.
• Collaboration & Compliance: Collaborate with academic departments and administration to promote achievements, ensure brand consistency across all platforms, and maintain compliance with institutional communication guidelines and policies.

Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Marketing, Media Studies, or related field.
• Minimum two (2) years' experience in social media management, digital marketing, or content creation.
• Experience managing business or institutional social media accounts.
• Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms.
• Experience in the education sector is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of graphic design, photography, and videography is desirable.
