Job Description
Umma University is seeking qualified and dedicated academics for the position of Senior Lecturer / Lecturer in English and Linguistics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting research, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, supervising thesis work, and contributing to academic committee duties and curriculum development.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct research and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
Provide mentorship and academic guidance to students.
Participate in curriculum development and academic committees.
Supervise student projects and theses.
Minimum Requirements
PhD (for Senior Lecturer) or Master’s degree (for Lecturer) in English, Linguistics, or a related field.
Demonstrated teaching and research experience in higher education.
Ability to supervise and mentor students effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong teaching, research, and analytical skills.
