Kenyatta University is seeking a Senior Laboratory Technologist (Grade E/F) to provide technical expertise and leadership within the department. The role focuses on medical physiology, requiring a professional who can manage laboratory operations, supervise staff, and support high-level research activities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership within the laboratory.
Supervise and mentor junior laboratory staff members.
Design and oversee the implementation of laboratory protocols for teaching and research.
Support and actively participate in departmental research initiatives.
Ensure laboratory quality assurance and strict adherence to regulatory compliance standards.
Contribute to departmental planning and the efficient management of laboratory resources.
Qualifications and Experience
Master of Science (MSc) in Medical Physiology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in teaching, research, and service within a medical physiology laboratory.
Registration with a relevant professional regulatory body is mandatory.
Skills and Competencies
Advanced expertise in laboratory techniques and equipment management.
