Job Description
The Senior Consultant will provide essential support to the General Insurance Division across all aspects of insurance broking services. Reporting to a Manager within the division, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing key accounts, and maintaining high-level client engagements to ensure the business remains competitive and forward-thinking.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Revenue Growth: Assist in the development of specific strategic plans aimed at ensuring consistent revenue growth for the company’s general insurance products.
Sales Pipeline: Generate and manage an accurate sales pipeline to support monthly revenue streams.
Account Management: Oversee sales activities for major accounts, including the negotiation of sales prices and discounts.
Market Insight: Conduct continuous client engagements and research to advise the business on the viability of existing products and identify opportunities for futuristic product enhancements.
Targets: Ensure the department achieves set budgets and financial targets through aggressive sales activities.
Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to implement public relations activities that position Zamara as a leading insurance broker.
General Duties: Undertake any other duties as assigned from time to time.
Experience & Personal Qualities
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, or a related field.
Professional Qualification: Ongoing Diploma in Insurance or an equivalent professional qualification.
Experience: At least 5 years of proven experience in sales and marketing within an insurance firm.
Product Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of traditional insurance covers as well as specialty risk insurance covers.
Soft Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, product presentation, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Sales Competency: Excellent interpersonal, prospecting, upselling, and cross-selling skills.
Professionalism: High work ethic, results-oriented mindset, team player attitude, and strong attention to detail.
Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office tools including Ms Excel, Ms PowerPoint, Ms Publisher, and Ms Forms.
