KCB Bank Kenya is seeking a Bancassurance Sales Representative to drive the insurance business by identifying and meeting customer needs through the selling and cross-selling of General and Life insurance products. The role is focused on achieving sales targets, ensuring high customer retention, and delivering exceptional service to clients while maintaining compliance with bank policies.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Performance: Achieve retail and insurance sales targets in accordance with assigned budgets. Deliver exceptional sales performance by identifying and meeting customer needs through selling and cross-selling of General and Life insurance products.
Portfolio Management: Ensure a customer retention ratio of at least 85% within the assigned portfolio.
Sales Strategy: Drive life insurance sales to meet established budgets and provide pipeline data as requested by management.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor own sales performance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, reporting results to Sales Managers.
Customer Service: Own and resolve customer queries and complaints regarding insurance products in a timely manner, escalating unresolved issues to the Line Manager or the Head Office Bancassurance team.
Documentation and Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy and quality of all applications and supporting customer documents completed and submitted.
Claims Management: Facilitate the reporting of claims to the Head Office Bancassurance team as guided, while providing timely feedback to clients. Assist the client in attaching relevant documentation and ensure claim forms are correctly completed.
Credit Control: Ensure insurance premiums are collected strictly according to the group's credit control policy.
Staff Training: Conduct training sessions for branch staff to enhance their knowledge of Bancassurance products.
Compliance: Adhere to all Group policies and regulatory requirements in daily business operations.
Qualifications and Experience
Academic Background: A Bachelor’s degree from a university recognized by the Commission of University Education. A Master’s degree is considered an added advantage.
Professional Certifications: Must hold one of the following:
Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance / Executive Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance
BCOM (Insurance and Risk Management option)
COP Exemption Certificate
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in sales with a strong working knowledge of insurance products.
