Job Description
Embu County Government is seeking a Senior Assistant Director of Medical Services/Medical Specialist specializing in Family Physician. This is a senior medical role within the county's healthcare infrastructure, focusing on providing specialized clinical services and leadership.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree (BA/BSc/HND) in a relevant medical field. Note: As a Medical Specialist/Senior Assistant Director role, advanced specialist training in Family Medicine is typically required as per the job title.
Documentation: Candidates must provide a National Identity Card, Academic and Professional Certificates, and Testimonials.
Integrity Clearance: Shortlisted candidates will be required to provide clearance documents (Chapter Six) from the following bodies: Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), Credit Reference Bureau (CRB), and the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI).
Responsibilities
Provide specialized medical services as a Family Physician within the county health facilities.
Provide clinical leadership and supervision to medical teams.
Ensure compliance with medical standards and ethics.
Contribute to the strategic management of medical services at a senior assistant director level.
