As a Senior Advisory Associate at KCB Bank Kenya, you will be instrumental in executing mandates within debt capital markets, equities markets, and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) across Kenya and the wider East African region. Working under the guidance of the Senior Manager and Head of Advisory, you will lead complex financial modelling, develop crucial transaction documentation, and manage strategic relationships with clients and investors. This role also involves onboarding new business to ensure the growth and sustainability of the advisory unit, mentoring a team of analysts, and ensuring strict compliance with regulatory standards.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n- Transaction Structuring: Execute mandates within debt capital markets, equities, and Mergers & Acquisitions in Kenya and across the East African region.\n- Financial Modelling: Lead the financial modelling process by applying best practices to ensure accuracy and depth in transaction analysis.\n- Transaction Documentation: Develop and lead the execution of key documents, including Information Memoranda, Teaser Reports, Prospectuses, Pitch books, valuation reports, and Term Sheets.\n- New Business Development: Drive the onboarding of new business to ensure the advisory unit's growth and long-term sustainability.\n- Customer Experience: Champion the delivery of consistent, seamless, and trusted customer service to maintain high levels of retention and loyalty.\n- Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain productive strategic relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and institutional investors.\n- Valuation and Due Diligence: Lead the team in conducting comprehensive valuation and due-diligence assignments for various transactions.\n- People Management: Grow, mentor, and coach a high-functioning team of analysts and associates to build capacity in capital markets and M&A.\n- Compliance: Monitor workflow activities to ensure adherence to regulations, policies, and internal procedures. Ensure all SLAs and audit items are closed within deadlines.\n- Industry Awareness: Maintain a detailed and current understanding of the macro environment, sector-specific trends, and regulatory requirements to maximize opportunities and mitigate risks.\n\n### Requirements and Qualifications\n- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Business, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a closely related field from a recognized institution.\n- Professional Certifications: Possession of CIFA, CFA, or CPA will be an added advantage.\n- Advanced Education: A Master’s degree in Finance, Strategic Planning, or Business is an added advantage.\n- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in investment banking, corporate banking, private equity, or structured corporate finance.\n- Technical Expertise: A minimum of 4 years’ experience in financial modelling and 4 years’ experience in credit analysis or quantitative analysis (Quants).\n- Product Knowledge: A minimum of 4 years’ experience in debt, equity, or structured products transaction structuring and execution.\n- Leadership: A minimum of 2 years' experience in team management or leadership.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified candidates should apply through the KCB recruitment portal at the following link: KCB Bank Kenya Careers - Oracle Cloud.
