The Client Onboarding Intermediate Analyst is a developing professional role at Citi Kenya. This position involves dealing with most problems independently while integrating in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. The successful candidate will apply analytical thinking and data analysis methodologies to manage account opening functions and ensure superior customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Management: Handle customer interaction, documentation issuance, review, and system setups with high diligence and organizational skills.
Account Processing: Manage day-to-day account opening and maintenance processing, including daily management of in-process, pended, and service-related activities.
Quality Control: Ensure account opening requirements are clearly defined to support all scenarios and deliver high-quality service to customers and internal partners.
Process Improvement: Determine new work procedures and analyze complex issues with significant departmental impact while monitoring customer satisfaction and service levels to drive changes.
Compliance and Risk: Ensure full compliance with internal processes, regulations, policies, and guidelines. Maintain a strong culture of risk and controls within the team through various checkpoints and effective risk management practices.
Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain close working relationships with clients and internal teams to facilitate direct communication of issues and queries.
Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and other team members.
Requirements and Qualifications
Experience: 5 years of experience in documentation review, account maintenance, and related cash products preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and exposure to client interaction.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to handle urgent and escalation cases while managing expectations.
Personal Attributes: Highly motivated, persistent, fast learner, and strong attention to detail. Capable of prioritizing tasks in a high-volume, time-sensitive, and high-risk environment.
