The Security Supervisor at Safal Group is responsible for implementing security management plans, overseeing daily security operations, and safeguarding company assets, personnel, and operations. This role involves direct supervision of outsourced security teams, managing access control, conducting surveillance, and ensuring the integrity of the premises through rigorous inspections and detailed reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Security Management & Operations
- Implement approved security management plans, policies, and procedures to proactively mitigate risks.
- Coordinate, supervise, and issue clear assignment instructions to outsourced security personnel and third-party security providers.
- Monitor daily security operations, including deployment, workflow, and adherence to established standards.
- Liaise with external security agencies, law enforcement, and emergency responders regarding accidents or criminal incidents.
- Advise the Security Manager on internal and external security risks and support the implementation of corrective measures.
- Support and participate in investigations into routine and site-specific incidents.
- Ensure all incidents are properly recorded in the Occurrence Book (OB) and escalated per protocol.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely daily/weekly security reports and maintain audit-ready documentation.
Access and Egress Control
- Verify that all goods leaving the premises are authorized and supported by valid documentation (invoices, delivery notes, gate passes).
- Inspect and verify all incoming goods against delivery documentation and ensure accurate recording in registers.
- Ensure all visitors are properly registered, and valid identification is securely retained during their visit.
- Facilitate the issuance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety briefings for visitors.
- Maintain accurate logs of all human and vehicular movements.
Surveillance & Security Systems Management
- Monitor and review CCTV footage regularly to detect, deter, and respond to suspicious or unlawful activities.
- Ensure all security systems (CCTV, alarms, access control) are fully operational and escalate faults for prompt resolution.
Logistics Security Oversight
- Oversee and control inbound and outbound logistics processes to ensure compliance with security procedures.
- Inspect goods in transit and verify documentation to prevent loss, theft, or irregularities.
Security Inspections & Premises Control
- Conduct thorough internal and perimeter inspections during shift handovers to confirm site integrity.
- Perform weekly external perimeter inspections, particularly in vulnerable areas.
- Enforce proper lock-up and shutdown procedures at the close of business.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum: Diploma in Security Management.
- Added Advantage: Diploma in Criminology.
- Professional Registration: Must be registered with Corporate Security Associations and the Private Security Regulatory Authority (PSRA).
Experience
- General: Minimum 4 years of work experience.
- Specific: At least 2 years of experience at a supervisory level.
- Industry: Experience in the Manufacturing industry is preferred.
