Adept Systems is seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to lead its sales efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the company's growth by developing and executing sales strategies, managing the sales team, and building strong relationships within the transport and logistics sectors. The role involves market expansion, sales forecasting, and ensuring high levels of customer retention through effective after-sales services.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning: Participate in the company's strategic planning process by gathering and compiling data on business size, trends, competitor positioning, and growth opportunities.
Sales Strategy: Prepare the sales strategic plan, sales forecast, and an activity plan aligned with the strategic plan.
Relationship Management: Manage and enhance relationships with fleet operators, logistics companies, bus operators, tour companies, and retailers.
Market Expansion: Identify and open new markets for tyres, retreads, and tyre centre services.
Process Development: Establish sales processes, reporting systems, performance reviews, and a remuneration structure for the sales team.
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise frontline sales representatives, leading, appraising, and developing the team.
After-Sales Service: Develop and coordinate after-sales services to strengthen customer retention.
Financial Coordination: Coordinate with the Finance department on credit terms, collections, and exposures.
Territory Strategy: In consultation with the Managing Director, prepare a territory expansion plan and strategy.
Incentive Structure: Propose a reward structure for the sales team that aligns with the business plan for consideration by the Managing Director.
Reporting: Prepare and submit reports according to the reporting schedule.
Professional Qualifications and Educational Background
A degree in Business Management; additional qualifications such as a diploma in Sales and Marketing will be an advantage.
7-10 years of sales experience, including 3 years in a sales management role.
Experience in B2B sales within automotive aftersales service, fuel sales, truck tires, batteries, lubricants, or fleet services.
Established networks within transport and logistics associations, cross-border fleets, and large fleet owners.
Proven experience in leading sales teams.
Strong background in sales planning, forecasting, and strategy development.
Familiarity with credit sales dynamics in the fleet market.
Proficient in networking and relationship management.
