The Sales Intern role at Ramco Group involves driving business growth through aggressive sales efforts and strategic market engagement. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and ensuring that sales targets are met consistently while maintaining high standards of service and product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Execution: Undertake aggressive sales to achieve set sales targets continuously.
Market Intelligence: Conduct market research and develop sales plans, updating them periodically based on changing market scenarios and insights from the prior quarters.
Business Development: Identify business opportunities by prospecting different clients and visiting potential customers for new business.
Presentations: Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services to existing and potential clients.
Negotiation: Negotiate terms of sales agreements and successfully close sales.
Sample Management: Ensure any samples requested by clients are delivered in a timely manner and follow up to ensure they are returned or paid for.
Order Management: Follow up on client orders and escalate any bottlenecks being experienced during the process.
Relationship Management: Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance, while researching and recommending new opportunities.
Reporting: Create and send accurate monthly reports that indicate plan vs. achieved sales, reasons for any shortfalls, and projections for the following month.
Proposals and Tenders: Reply to Request for Proposals (RFPs), Tender Notices, and Price Quotations in a timely manner. Submit competitive analysis, budgeting, and customer details for management review.
Collections: Ensure that customers clear their dues within existing timelines, working with accounts to identify delays and operations to mitigate issues.
Quality Standards: Ensure that quality standards are met for all jobs delivered to clients.
Product Expertise: Maintain thorough knowledge of products and production processes for all jobs.
Other Duties: Perform any other duties as directed by the management.
Qualifications and Experience
A Bachelor's degree in Sales & Marketing, Communication, or an equivalent qualification.
