Job Description
The Embu County Government is seeking to recruit 12 Registered Clinical Officers II to join its medical team. This role is essential for providing quality clinical care, conducting diagnoses, and managing patient treatment plans within county health facilities.
Role Overview
As a Registered Clinical Officer II, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive clinical services. This includes assessing patients, performing diagnostic procedures, and administering treatment to ensure the well-being of the community. You will work under the guidance of senior medical staff to deliver effective primary healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
Conducting patient examinations and clinical assessments to determine diagnoses.
Administering appropriate treatments and managing diverse medical conditions.
Ordering, performing, and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic tests.
Maintaining detailed and accurate patient medical records.
Providing health education and counseling to patients and their families.
Referring complex cases to specialized medical practitioners or higher-level facilities.
Participating in community health outreach programs and preventive care initiatives.
Requirements and Qualifications
Candidates are required to have the following:
A Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Registration and a valid practicing license from the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya.
Knowledge of current medical practices, ethics, and legal requirements in healthcare.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
National Identity Card and Academic/Professional Certificates.
