Mediamax Network Ltd. is the fastest growing media Company in Kenya comprising K24 TV, People Daily (PD), Milele FM, Kameme FM, Kameme TV, Mayian FM, Meru FM, Pilipili FM, and Emoo FM.
Role Overview
The Regional Multimedia Fact-Checker will be responsible for identifying, verifying, and producing engaging multimedia content from the Nyamira region. The role requires a strong eye for detail and the ability to report on local trends while maintaining the high journalistic standards of Mediamax brands.
Key Responsibilities
Create and produce multimedia content (video, audio, and text) from the assigned Nyamira region.
Verify information and ensure the accuracy of all published content to prevent misinformation.
Liaise with the central Editorial Team on regional activities and stories.
Develop and contribute content across all Mediamax brands (TV, Radio, and Digital).
Monitor and report on local news, emerging issues, and cultural trends.
Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum of a Diploma in Journalism or a related field.
At least 2 years’ experience in content production within a professional environment.
Proven ability to produce high-quality multimedia content across different formats.
Fluency in both English and Swahili; knowledge of the local language spoken in Nyamira is an added advantage.
Strong research, fact-checking, and storytelling skills.
