Role Overview
The Regional Multimedia Fact-Checker is responsible for identifying, researching, and verifying the accuracy of news and information within Marsabit. You will produce high-quality multimedia content while ensuring absolute accuracy to maintain the editorial standards of Mediamax brands.
Key Responsibilities
Multimedia Content Production: Create and produce multimedia content (video, audio, and text) from assigned regions.
Information Verification: Verify information and ensure accuracy of all published content.
Editorial Liaison: Liaise with the Editorial Team on activities and stories within your area.
Brand Development: Develop and contribute content for all Mediamax brands.
Monitoring Trends: Monitor and report on local trends, news, and emerging issues.
Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum of a Diploma in Journalism or a related field.
At least 2 years’ experience in content production.
Proven ability to produce multimedia content.
Fluency in English and Swahili (knowledge of the local language is an added advantage).
Strong fact-checking, research, and storytelling skills.
