Job Description
Mediamax Network Limited is looking for a Regional Multimedia Fact-Checker based in West Pokot. This role is essential in maintaining the integrity of information across various media platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of information through rigorous fact-checking while producing engaging multimedia content for various platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Create and produce multimedia content including video, audio, and text from assigned regions.
Verify information and ensure accuracy of all published content to uphold editorial standards.
Liaise with the Editorial Team on activities and stories within your area of operation.
Develop and contribute content for all Mediamax brands (including K24 TV, People Daily, Milele FM, and others).
Monitor and report on local trends, news, and emerging issues within the region.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of a Diploma in Journalism or a related field.
At least 2 years’ experience in content production.
Proven ability to produce high-quality multimedia content.
Fluency in English and Swahili (proficiency in the local language of West Pokot is an added advantage).
Strong fact-checking, research, and storytelling skills.
