About the Role
Mediamax Network Ltd. is looking for Regional Multimedia Fact-Checkers to be based in Narok. This role is essential to our mission of delivering accurate and engaging content to our diverse audience. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating multimedia content across various platforms while ensuring the highest standards of journalistic integrity through rigorous fact-checking.
Key Responsibilities
Content Production: Create and produce high-quality multimedia content, including video, audio, and text, focusing on the Narok region.
Verification: Rigorously verify all information and ensure the accuracy of content before it is published across Mediamax brands.
Editorial Liaison: Collaborate closely with the central Editorial Team on news activities and stories emerging from your assigned area.
Cross-Brand Contribution: Develop and contribute content that aligns with all Mediamax brands, including TV, newspaper, and radio platforms.
Trend Monitoring: Monitor and report on local news trends, emerging issues, and community stories within the region.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: A minimum of a Diploma in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field.
Experience: At least 2 years of professional experience in multimedia content production.
Multimedia Skills: Proven ability to produce content across multiple formats (text, audio, and video).
Language Proficiency: Fluency in both English and Swahili is required. Knowledge of the local language spoken in Narok is a distinct advantage.
Core Competencies: Exceptional fact-checking, research, and storytelling skills.
