Job Description
The Regional Multimedia Fact-Checker for Makueni is responsible for creating and producing high-quality multimedia content while ensuring rigorous accuracy and fact-checking of all news and information within the assigned region.
Key Responsibilities
Content Production: Create and produce multimedia content including video, audio, and text from the Makueni region.
Verification: Verify information and ensure the absolute accuracy of all published content.
Editorial Collaboration: Liaise with the Editorial Team regarding news activities and stories within your area.
Brand Contribution: Develop and contribute content across all Mediamax brands (TV, Radio, and Digital).
Trend Monitoring: Monitor and report on local trends, breaking news, and emerging issues.
Requirements
Education: Minimum of a Diploma in Journalism or a related field.
Experience: At least 2 years’ experience in professional content production.
Technical Skills: Proven ability to produce multimedia content.
Language: Fluency in English and Swahili; proficiency in the local language of Makueni is an added advantage.
Core Competencies: Strong fact-checking, research, and storytelling skills.
