Job Description
Mediamax Network Limited is seeking a Regional Multimedia Fact-Checker based in Kisumu. The role involves creating and producing multimedia content across various platforms while ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and reliability through rigorous fact-checking and research.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation: Create and produce multimedia content (video, audio, and text) from assigned regions.
Verification: Verify information and ensure accuracy of all published content to maintain journalistic integrity.
Editorial Liaison: Liaise with the Editorial Team on activities and stories within your area.
Brand Development: Develop and contribute content for all Mediamax brands, including K24 TV, People Daily, Milele FM, and Kameme TV.
Trend Monitoring: Monitor and report on local trends, news, and emerging issues within the Kisumu region.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Minimum of a Diploma in Journalism or a related field.
Experience: At least 2 years’ experience in content production.
Multimedia Skills: Proven ability to produce multimedia content.
Languages: Fluency in English and Swahili (knowledge of a local language is an added advantage).
Core Competencies: Strong fact-checking, research, and storytelling skills.
