About the Role
Mediamax Network Ltd is seeking Regional Multimedia Fact-Checkers based in Kisii. This role is central to maintaining the integrity and quality of news and information produced from the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating accurate multimedia content and verifying facts to serve Mediamax brands, including K24 TV, People Daily, and various radio stations.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation: Create and produce multimedia content (video, audio, and text) from assigned regions.
Fact-Verification: Verify information and ensure accuracy of all published content.
Editorial Liaison: Liaise with the Editorial Team on activities and stories within your area.
Brand Development: Develop and contribute content for all Mediamax brands.
Trend Monitoring: Monitor and report on local trends, news, and emerging issues.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of a Diploma in Journalism or a related field.
At least 2 years’ experience in content production.
Proven ability to produce multimedia content.
Fluency in English and Swahili (local language is an added advantage).
Strong fact-checking, research, and storytelling skills.
