Job Description
Mediamax Network Ltd. is the fastest growing media Company in Kenya comprising K24 TV, People Daily (PD), Milele FM, Kameme FM, Kameme TV, Mayian FM, Meru FM, Pilipili FM, and Emoo FM. The Regional Multimedia Fact-Checker is responsible for identifying, producing, and verifying news and feature content from the Kakamega region. This role requires a blend of journalistic integrity, multimedia production skills, and local insight to ensure accurate reporting across all Mediamax brands.
Key Responsibilities
Create and produce multimedia content including video, audio, and text from the Kakamega region.
Verify information rigorously and ensure the absolute accuracy of all published content.
Liaise regularly with the central Editorial Team on activities and stories within your area.
Develop and contribute high-quality content for all Mediamax platforms (TV, Radio, and Digital).
Monitor and report on local trends, breaking news, and emerging regional issues.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of a Diploma in Journalism or a related field.
At least 2 years’ professional experience in content production.
Proven ability to produce high-quality multimedia content across different formats.
Fluency in English and Swahili. Proficiency in a local language from the region is an added advantage.
Strong fact-checking, research, and storytelling skills.
