Job Description
Mediamax Network Ltd is seeking a Regional Multimedia Fact-Checker for the Busia region. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality multimedia content across various platforms and ensuring the absolute accuracy of information published by the network's brands. This role involves close collaboration with the central editorial team to report on local trends and emerging news within the assigned area.
Key Responsibilities
Create and produce multimedia content (video, audio, and text) from assigned regions.
Verify information and ensure accuracy of all published content.
Liaise with the Editorial Team on activities and stories within your area.
Develop and contribute content for all Mediamax brands (including K24 TV, People Daily, Milele FM, and others).
Monitor and report on local trends, news, and emerging issues.
Requirements and Qualifications
Minimum of a Diploma in Journalism or a related field.
At least 2 years’ experience in content production.
Proven ability to produce multimedia content.
Fluency in English and Swahili (knowledge of a local language is an added advantage).
Strong fact-checking, research, and storytelling skills.
