Job Description
The County Government of Bomet is looking to recruit six (6) Radiographer III professionals. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing diagnostic imaging services to patients, ensuring high-quality images for medical diagnosis while maintaining strict safety standards.
Responsibilities
Operating diagnostic imaging equipment such as X-ray machines, Ultrasound, CT scanners, and MRI equipment.
Positioning patients accurately to obtain the best possible images for diagnosis.
Ensuring the safety of patients and staff by following strict radiation protection protocols.
Maintaining and calibrating medical imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Keeping accurate patient records and documentation related to imaging procedures.
Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C (plain) with grade C (plain) in English/Kiswahili, Biology/Biological Sciences or Physics/Physical Sciences and C- in Mathematics.
Professional Training: Diploma in any of the following: Diagnostic Radiography/Medical Imaging Sciences, Ultrasound, Computerized Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy, and Digital Medical imaging equipment or its equivalent from a recognized Institution.
Licensing: Registration Certificate and a valid practicing license issued by the Radiation Protection Board (RPB).
IT Skills: Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
