The Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring that all paving blocks and cabro products are manufactured, cured, and stored according to approved structural, dimensional, and aesthetic specifications before installation. This role is critical in reducing reworks while ensuring compliance with quality control standards and continuous improvement systems.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement quality control procedures for raw materials, production processes, and finished cabro products.
Test and verify the quality of aggregates, cement, water, and raw materials prior to production.
Monitor daily production cycles to ensure consistency in size, strength, color, and finish of the end-products.
Conduct and supervise essential tests, including compressive strength, water absorption, and curing quality.
Perform cube/block compressive strength tests, water absorption tests, and density tests on cured blocks.
Inspect all incoming materials, such as cement, sand, and aggregates, to ensure they meet standards.
Identify defects and implement necessary corrective and preventive actions.
Isolate defective or broken blocks and manage non-conformance reports.
Maintain comprehensive quality records, reports, and documentation.
Ensure full compliance with local standards and safety regulations.
Train production staff on quality standards and industry best practices.
Handle customer complaints related to product quality and facilitate resolution.
Collaborate closely with production and maintenance teams to drive process improvements.
Requirements and Qualifications
Degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field.
3–5 years of professional experience in concrete, construction materials, or manufacturing sectors.
Proficiency in using laboratory equipment for compressive strength, moisture content, and material density testing.
In-depth knowledge of concrete mix design and testing methods.
Familiarity with quality standards and formal inspection procedures.
