The University of Nairobi is seeking a highly qualified Project Manager to lead and oversee various innovation, research, training, and community initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker who can coordinate effectively between internal teams, external partners, and donor organizations to ensure project success and institutional compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities
Project Oversight: Plan, initiate, and manage multiple projects across innovation, research, training, and community initiatives.
Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams, external partners, donors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Risk Management: Proactively monitor risks, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement effective solutions to ensure timely delivery.
Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with donor requirements, institutional policies, and international reporting standards.
Team Collaboration: Facilitate effective team collaboration, internal communication, and maintain rigorous documentation throughout the project life cycle.
Performance Tracking: Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and deliver actionable insights for continuous project improvement.
Job Specifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
Master’s degree in a relevant field is required.
Experience: Proven experience managing medium- to large-scale projects.
Technical Proficiency: High proficiency in project management tools such as Trello, Asana, Jira, and MS Project.
Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
