At MPESA Foundation Academy, we are committed to excellence, integrity, and stewardship. We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Procurement Manager to lead our end-to-end procurement function. You will drive value for money, ensure full compliance, and build a resilient supply chain that supports our Academy’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the annual procurement and disposal plan.
Lead strategic sourcing, tendering, and contract negotiations.
Manage supplier performance, pre-qualification, and quarterly reviews.
Enforce procurement policies, internal controls, and audit readiness.
Oversee the procurement module in Sage X3 and drive automation.
Mentor a small team including a Procurement Officer and Assistant.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Certification: CIPS, KISM, or equivalent certification is mandatory.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in procurement, with demonstrable expertise in tendering and sourcing.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (Sage X3 preferred); in-depth knowledge of procurement laws and contract management.
Competencies: Strategic sourcing, financial acumen, stakeholder management, risk and compliance, leadership, and impeccable ethics.
