Job Description
Airflo is a leading logistics company in perishables that specializes in providing world-class fresh logistics solutions for fresh cut flowers, herbs, cuttings, produce and fruits moving through key international trade lanes. Airflo is a subsidiary of Airfreight Group (AFG) BV with a presence in the Netherlands, UAE, Kenya, and Zimbabwe. The Operations Intern will support the warehouse and logistics team in ensuring efficient shipment processing and documentation.
Responsibilities
Shipment Acceptance: Handle export shipment acceptance, including box counts, weight measures, and recording arrival temperatures.
Reporting: Generate intake reports and communicate them clearly to clients.
Irregularity Monitoring: Identify and report any shipment irregularities to the supervisor upon arrival.
Inventory Management: Monitor airline equipment inventory and report on non-supplies or discrepancies.
Palletization: Follow instructions for pelletizing shipments according to booked flights.
Labeling: Apply labels to boxes before palletization as per provided instructions and ensure correct pallet label application.
Documentation: Generate accurate pallet-card reports based on shipment build-ups.
Warehouse Inventory: Produce correct daily warehouse inventory reports.
Requirements
Education: Undergraduate Degree in Operations Management, Commercial Courses, or Aviation Courses.
Technical Skills: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and others).
Soft Skills: High standards of integrity, confidentiality, and business ethics.
Problem Solving: Ability to diagnose and solve operational problems effectively.
Teamwork: A team player with the ability to work well in a large, dynamic Operations team.
Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, confident, creative, disciplined with high attention to detail.
Resilience: Ability to cope with stressful and fast-paced situations.
Communication: Solid verbal and written communication skills.
